Just want to get this off my chest.

Seems in the past 6 years i've needed one op after another. I know some people are much worse off with regards to health of themselves or others. So this is not a post I wish to have sympathy for. As i am grateful for my family, friends i know be that online or in person

My story so far. Bad hips. both have had either 1 or 2 ops on for bone growths which have limited my hip movement.
Last op was Oct 2012. Hoped that was it. but during the surgery they found out I have delaminated cartalidge in my left hip now. This will require a hip operation of some kind int he next 5-10 years. really just depends on how much pain I can put up with.

    So thats old news

Been having issues seeing well and finding it hard to see close up stuff. My left eye is great. well until yesterday. I have the start of caterax in my good eye. Balls
But thats nothing major for the near future. as I went to the opticians yesterday as I noticed over the weekend my right eye, I lost most of my sight in, was only during watching a 3D movie on that the 3D effect was not as good as it should have been. closed my left eye and only a blur out of it

    Balls.
So in short went to the opticians who confirmed after tests that I am almost blind in my right eye. FFS

Good bit is that i'm lucky enough to be able to see the doc in the next week and will be booking private to get this done soon
    Which is a plus

Just so fecked off with everything and once I seem to get going and on with life. I get another thing that kicks me back down

Sorry my short story became a long post.

Just wanted to air my frustration :(

Hope things get sorted out for you soon Remal. Many of my customers have had caterax ops and according to them it was not too bad at all. Most of them are about the same age as you, in their eighties;) so you will be fine.

Bad health sucks, lets hope you get a break soon and enjoy a long long spell without any health issues. Take care and take solace that you don't have to watch football.

Looking over previous post it seemed like you were on the up .Perhaps after what you have gone through the next Hip Operation will be a success and you can put it behind you forever .On the subject of eyes ,this field of expertise has really come on leaps and bounds so it could be ( with a bit of luck) a bread and butter operation .Just hit it head on dude get the best advice and treatment and care you can .

Sorry to hear about this fella. And you are right, being ill does get you down - especially if it's long term or one thing after another. :(

But try to stay positive, as it can help with a speedier recovery. Worse case scenario, you can just drop by the forums and have a laugh with us and forget about it for a while :D

Sorry to hear about this mate.
Most important thing to remember mate and I know it's easier to say than do but try not to get yourself too down about it, I have been in the situation where everything is going wrong and nothing seems to go right and got extremely depressed.

The best way I have found to deal with this is as early as possible start thinking of all the positives in your life as you start too feel down - your kids, wife etc etc.
Hope it all sorts itself soon bud

Good luk with a speedy recovery, me mum has just had her catarax done in n out in few hrs so not to bad, just alot of rest now.

My health aint been the best either, last yr my thyroid gland went into iver drive and over 6 weeks i lost 3 stone in weight, stopped going to the bog n one day felt soo bad i ciuldnt get out of bed, had to be picked up n taken into hospitsl where the docs said me body was on the verge of shutting itself down due to me thyroid and not going to the bog for soo long.

Im not afraif to say, i just started crying thinking this is it, laying on a hospital bed without my oarents being there :( luckily ipthey got me through it with loads of injections, fluids and other painfull stuff :)

Thyroid gland has cured itself n docs still dont know wot caused it to over work ??

6 mths later, early this yr, i collapsed at home 1 morning gerring up for work, got rushed into hospital, to be told i suffer from wolff parkinson white syndrome, basicall a irregular heart beat that i have had since i was born but had never come to light?? Spent few days in hospital being monitored then kicked out n sent for excercise tests whilst hooked upto a pc, still waiting to see specialists cor that.

Couple weeks back, had a camera shoved down me throat, whilst still awake and up me backside, not the same camera thank you, as docs thought i had bowel cancer cus im now aneamic n they cant work out y im loseing blood n from where!!?? Came back all clear on the cancer Thank fook!!!

Going back in couple weeks to see anaemic docs for more tests no doubt as men DONT become anaemic only women do?!

See life aint all bad eh ???

Well the first week since I noticed how blind I am in the right eye and doing my head in.

The good news is that I have the date for my op and consultation before hand booked. roll on the 6th Dec when I should be able to see
