Rang the house insurance people up as they had bumped the premium by nearly 30% and were trying to auto renew! Spoke to them, told them the quote I had from elsewhere and was told they couldn't match it, so they cancelled the renewal. Strange really as the new policy that they couldn't match is just another of their own brands. Simples ;)

After seeing so many posts regarding taking off pillion footpegs, decided that I would have a go.
Took about 1-2hrs to do, but not as bad as I thought. Looks so much better, will post some pictures, as soon as I can.

Know how to do it, but selling a house with home done electrics can be a bit of a mare, especially as we had a re-wire done and so everything else is signed off. Luckily I have bought all the armoured cable off fleabay so will be a relatively cheap job.

Also the sparky pointed out a potential issue having 2 x RCDs inline with each other, either that or he is trying to big up the job and he will be out on his ear ;)

two rcd's inline, what exactly did he say the issue would be?

well unless you are putting some machinery in your man cave, that would
cause a few too many trips.I just ran a mains into my garage DB then
had the rcd out there, but then I know I would have mig/tig welders out there.

Missus was the one who spoke to him. Think she said something about a rcdb0 (or something like that) being fitted to the main consumer unit instead of 2 inline rcds

thats to have a delay so if the garage one trips it doesnt trip the house as well.
I assume you only want lights/sockets out there?
if so then the one in the house would cover it then just have your wee mcb board
    in the garage.
