Hi All, I'm a newbe hopefully this thread is in the correct section. I have a lovely 09 Repsol Blade & have made a right clanger. I work shifts & after finishing my night shift I always give the bike a wipe down if its not too much covered in crud, I must have been still partly asleep on this occation as I wiped a micro fiber cloth on the exhaust. as these are made from plastic I have left a melted mark on the thing. I have looked on Utube & seen lots of stuff for removing marks but these were all from chrome exhausts & not like mine as it is painted black. Please please please has anyone got any good ideas of how to remove this hidous mark as it is doing my head in. My mate said run the bike to see if you can burn it off but until now it is still there. Cheers Chris.
Treat the bike to a carbon exhaust cover, don't think u will find many on here with a standard exhaust, let alone the answer to ur question.
Paraffin soaked lint free rags gets most things off. Get the zorst hot first then wipe over with a paraffin rag.
