Does anyone have any proven tips or just follow whats on the bottle? Will these products make the rain bead on the textiles again

Wash them at 30 deg on synthetics cycle, slow spin with the tech wash.
Once finished repeat with the tx direct then hang on the line to dry........simples
If really dirty you might have to do both stages twice. Oh yeah its easier if you can remove the armour.
3caps full of tech wash and 3caps full of tx direct per go.
    hope that helps

Do not use fabric conditioner if it is any type of gortex material. Personally I use NikWax and just follow the instructions

Once you've done as above. Shower in them and just use a bit of body wash I use tea tree but that's only as it's in the shower. It keeps the muck from building up and retains the waterproofing better.

Just do it when the better half is out and rinse well afterwards. Works for me.

Nikwax is great for keeping the gortex working brilliantly, use it on all ke hiking gear n toyring gear n never let me down.

Just dont buy it from bike shops as they rip ya off, ger it on Amazon :)

I hang me kit up in shower and give it a soak with warm water n then using a sponge n just drop of fairy, clean the kit, rinse off with cold water and hang on line outside to drip dry, when still bit damp, i spray on the nikwax and let it dry naturally. Never has me kit leaked n i hate gerring wet :)

Wet them, and gently, i mean GENTLY rub in some nice smelling soap (pref the real shaving company soap) and lather in. Get a a three bladed razor, and shave the pubes in the direction of growth.

Rinse, and pat dry, and rub in some perfume free moisturiser.

    Job done, and no rash.

Meant to add, I use 2 bottles of Nikiwax. One for washing and one for waterproofing.

As per original thread.....to avoid confusion Nikwax make techwash (gentle detergent that cleans without stripping too much proofing) Nikwax also make tx direct (wash in proofer that improves greathability, very good for gore tex) Nickwax also make gear proofer which you wipe on to damp gear let it dry and it beads the water off, however its best used on areas of most exposure only as it compromises braethability........its the muts nuts for proofing bike covers, tents, luggage back packs.
