In that heat when you stop at a petrol station etc. its buy a large bottle of cold water, drink about 1/3 and get a mate to pour it down your back inside your leathers into arms / legs etc. Within about 1 hour you are melting again - had to do that in 35' Pyrenees a few years ago
Just hate all the f***ing salt on the roads, that's whats stopping me from getting out, dont mind the cold, but salt ..NO
My trip to Spain in December really hit my bike's mechanics bad - its an absolute myth they don't use salt in Spain for ice etc. they just don't use the same looking stuff as us. Bike needs a full strip and clean down, work / checks on front suspension and a few other parts replaced / fixed but in no rush - odd as normally enjoy a winter blat on dry but cold and sunny days - guess the continual rain the last month is putting me off.
We had 45degC today, same tomorrow and record breaking 46 Thursday, but its OK our prime minister doesn't believe in climate change............
Gents, we have not even had a winter yet, I am still in a T shirt under my Rukka, and not even put the quilted liners in yet. I normally have the liners in by late Dec to survive the commute, but not this year, in fact I can only remember getting cold fingers on a few commutes. Stop woosing about and get out there lads.
