I tend to use google maps although sometimes it seems to go to sleep and say nothing I also have co pilot live on my iPhone and you just choose the areas you want and they are saved on your phone with any gps signal issues
Hi sinewave i used this set up on my R6 last year to tour Germany works fine but the only limitations i found where i had no jack plug for headphones in mt old tom tom so no verbal instructions and if your lucky enough like i was to be in the sun you cant see the screen for the glare ,i also mounted a waterproof twin powerpoint to my mounting bracket wired directly through a fuse to my battery (bought from ebay) ,ran my sat nav off it and charged everyones phones via usb whilst on the move worked a treat ,ps dont even be tempted try to run a cigarette lighter in the socket though.
