So I went to see my daughter on Friday. She is in Kent, I'm in Bristol, bike is in Bridgend.
Leave Bridgend on Friday morning, get to Kent 3 hours later, completely soaked through, stopped at Chievely svs on route and spent 30 mins in front of the hand dryers trying to dry off, which was a complete waste of time. Trying to put wet gloves back on never seems to work!!

Leave kent today at 2ish for the return leg, first hour all ok.
Then spend the next two and a half hours getting completely and utterly drenched, freezing my knackers off.
    Was not fun.

Would have been dryer if I'd sat in the bath fully clothed for an hour.

Let's hope we get a decent summer!

Very true mate. Had to smile when she said perhaps I should have a car like most other people!

    Simple fix for this OP.

    Gortex Textiles and Gortex Gloves.

Ride all day in the rain and stay bone dry.

Got good quality halvarssons textiles, but defo need some top end gloves.
The Dainese ones I have just seem to absorb water now.
Decided to wear the non waterproof boots which didn't really help matters :(

Kentblade, the rain seem to magically appear at junction 15 on the M25!
