And to Mr Shinysideup for running the Group Buy - I just hope this hasn't damaged his reputation or popularity Off to celebrate with a cup of coffee and some of Andy's biscuits!! (Where's Barney when you need him! )
Only if you promise to order a Pin that we have in stock,,,, otherwise the deal is off lol Given the situation I'm sure that Andy would extend the offer for you anyway - I'll get him to PM you and organise this for you. Thanks muchly
Mine's arrived too. Thank you, Demon Tweeks. A cracking price indeed. I'm looking forward to being able to pirouette my bike in the garage
My stand arrived today and thank you very much to Demon Tweeks................ What I will add tho is that the stand does not lift as even as you will have seen on the promo vid, everything in the frame does a bit of flexing and the castors are a bit loose, Don't get me wrong as the lift does lift the bike but it just does not inspire 100% confidence, maybe I will go through the set up again with someone giving me a hand........... Please post up your findings on this guy's as I may be missing something
You can adjust how even the wheels lift together (presuming its the same as my constands lift) At the top of the hinge/lever part it has a threaded bolt with 2 nuts on, by adjusting this it adjusts the lift angle. Only carefully adjust a tiny bit at a time though and then slowly take your lever to the lift point as I bent my first bolt adjusting too much
When I've installed the cup that the upper pin goes in, it's sticking out of the frame. Is this right?
Also there are 4 nuts with star-shaped plastic tightening heads on them that I can't figure out what they're for. There were only instructions for adjusting the plate, no instructions for assembly of the actual stand. Although most of it is self-evident.
I don't use mine but I guess they are used instead of the castors, eg if you wanted a really steady platform?
Hi Andy Received my stand today and the delivery note says Pins to follow. Please tell me this isnt the case before I blow a gasket!
yep found this too, bit of a fecker to get right, but once it done its well worth it. http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/14337-8.htm#post229321
My bike is lifting reasonably level front to rear but when you look along the bike from the rear then the bike is about 5 degrees off vertical, leaning away from the stand, I am putting this lean down to flex in the legs/feet/castors. I am going to fettle this over wknd and I will report back with any results/mods done
Just found this vid on youtube and it looks very similar to the stand we have all got but with the addition of a small locking pin in the upper lifting pin................might go down the same route I think just for peace of mind MotoMfg.com paddock stand - YouTube
