As the title, today the bike was rolled out after 5 months of hibernation, the leathers still have last years insect road kill 100 miles to blow away the cobwebs great couple of hours. Wrists arms and hands are stiff but a nice steady start to the season
How good was it to get out today (Sunday) for the first proper ride of the year, up early and out by 6.30 am, saw a few bikers out exploring the best that Suffolk can offer. By 11.00 am, lots more traffic around so time to head home for a beer and spend a few hours cleaning the bike. This time last year we had snow ?
Had a Waz up to J&S this afternoon with a couple of mates then on to Chester Motoradd to check out the new naked S1000R Then home via Maccy Dees at Whitchurch Bypass!
I made it out for 60 or so miles. Met a great group of people at the local bike pub and proceeded to add a few extra by way of a detour on the way back with them. I'm seriously out of riding shape though, as I feel pretty knackered now
I don't know how you do it!, I'm ripping out my eyeballs even after a weekend of not riding. Great ride out today though! just wish the rozzers weren't out also
was out today crap weather cant wait till you guys with the sp,s break them in and tell us wat there like full on
Bloody hell you've gone and got the same helmet as me, matches the bike to a T Also someone started a SP group on the forum here :- http://1000rr.co.uk/groups/sp-owners-club.htm
Me too. Went on a 180 mile round trip to Southend - it was mental. The good weather brought out the crowds. Not only first ride of the season but longest ride since taking up biking again last year. Some lengthy filtering (first time ever). It was so packed we all parked on the main strip on the central reservation so had to get the bike up on the curb & so doing I lost my footing & had to let the bike go - felt such a knob. So lucky that there was hardly any damage at all - the crash bung did it's job.
The lady wife still has no idea how much they cost. The consequences would be even more expensive than the wheels!
my first ride out of the year up to sea houses Northumberland 120 mile round trip mainly b roads and first chance to ride the blade in anger fookin hell am I impressed cant believe how planted and light the bike is so much lighter and steers quicker than my 09 R1 ever did Been grinning ever since cant wait for the roads to improve
