no pm as I can't pm you,

    so here goes

    Hi andy,

received the stand today and am having alot of difficulties installing it.

here is a list of my problems

I can install the pins on the plate to fit the bike and set it up, but when I tighten the bottom pin I can't remove the plate and the pins from the bike, so I have to loosen the bottom pin for the plate to come off. I beleive the problem is that the bottom pin can't sit high enough (enough problems on the site about this) (I will not be drilling or dremmeling anything as I did not buy a DIY package!

Secondly when I install the plate to the stand I can lift the bike, but it's hanging to the right and the front wheel won't come off the ground. but I can't remove the stand from the bike due to the pins being stuck.

Thirdly when I wan't to lock the lift handle it won't lock under weight. when the bikes not on the stand this isn't a problem.

If these problems can't be solved then I will be looking for a full refund and will have it packaged for you to arrange pick up, as the item is not what it is and doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

I'm am looking forward to hear from you for a solution as I do want to use the stand.

    regards

    Alex

That's the lock bolt to keep the plate angle stable, other end goes through a hole in the plate

That's the lock bolt to keep the plate angle stable, other end goes through a hole in the plate, without it the plate will slip and you won't keep the front wheel off the ground, see the pics I posted

Hey kickboxer, would you mind taking an extra shot at the plate from the front (not hooked into the bike)? I almost need a guide to open a beer, let alone make this thing to work :)

It seems you have it working ok over there an also the pin is fully inserted where mine is not.

The only difference now with the photo of kickboxer is that his 'top pin' is fully inserted and mine only goes half way in.. I guess that's why the bike is leaning a bit to the right. I believe this could be a design flaw in our model.

Anyone on the list here who has a sc59 and has this stand fully working?

I've got the pins to line up pretty well, but handle still doesn't lock and and the bike is hanging to the right.

If your talking about the piece where I'm pointing to on one of the pics on the last page then I've done that to get the front wheel off the ground. otherwise which bolt?

    cheers Martin!

Have a look at your pic in post number 186, it's the threaded bolt with 2 nuts in the top left of your pic (can only just see the end of it)
You need to adjust it tiny bit at a time and then try lifting, be very careful as I adjusted mine too much at first and bent it and had to find a new bolt

the bolt at the top of the lever handle' probs need tightening a tad to lift the plate slider a little further up the shaft.

186 isn't my pic, but in 185 I have my finger on a bolt that you can turn at the end to make the plate move diagonal. you talking about this one?

    @kickboxer - what's your address? :D :D

btw maarten and I do appreciate all the help we are getting :)

No not attached to the plate part, its where the handle joins the stand
