Then you could be fuuked dude ! My rear shock had to get turned all the way round to 9 on the preload ! Ohlins, Ktec, Nitron, or maybe its time to moderate the goldwing forum buddy !

I was 19 last year and managed to set mine as best i could, lost some weight and am now 17.5 your best off getting someone to help and doing the static sag and all that jaz. Have a good article somewhere... need two of you really to do it properly so get your arse round mine and we will have a crack at it My front forks could use a respring as the rr4 is supposed to be soft so ive heard... The chap who rebuilt my forks added a little more oil to firm them up slightly.
How many miles has bike done? Rear shock may be getting tired, and forks might need a service. Changing the fork oil to 10 or 15 grade might help, & reduce the air gap. No cheap fix for shock unfortunately. I'm guessing you have everything wound up to almost max? What are you struggling with most, to much dive? Harsh over bumps? Bike swats to much on acceleration etc
16k now To be honest I'm not struggling or not good enough to know the difference but I hear a good set up makes all the difference, just need the cheapest way possible as not got alot of cash for the poor bike
I wouldn't recommend upping the oil weight on cartridge type forks as they won't work as effectively as they would with correct oil weight! Mega hot countries are another kettle of fish as the oil would thin down due to higher temps but not for UK. On older damper rod style forks yeah upping the oil weight was a common practise to alter the fork characteristics but it's not recommended for cartridge types that's what piston kits and reshiming is for!
Not sure if you fancy a trip down to jolly old Kent but Tony Scott at T3 Racing did the setup on my Daytona and it was ace I'm thinking about taking my SP down to him to get sorted out too. It's worth every penny as they spend an hour with you setting the bike up exactly to you and your requirements. Just a thought can't remember how much it was off top of my head but didn't break the bank at all.
Quite a lot of us are 'vertically challenged' as well but the Oriental bike manufacturers who, to a man, must be similarly afflicted still insist on exporting machines that are designed for 'giants' with a 32" inside leg.
Lol it's all greek to me buddy I'm still learning my way around bike mechanics sounded really complicated to me....
