problem speedo and gear indicator

    went out on the bike today and notice the speedo and gear indicator not working but after about 5 miles all working o.k .all the ride worked o.k as anybody had the same problem or knows what the fault it many thanks

    A friend of mine had the exact problem on his R1. He ended up putting a new speed sensor on it, swapped his clock assembly from his track bike. Only to find out that it was the gear indicator at fault all along!

    Maybe a loose connection somewhere on the gear indicator poss the same for the speedo
