Hi Guys you will see from my earliesr Thread that we cured charging problem on my Sons 05 Blade by replacing Stator and Rectifier. My Son replaced the Oil and Filter He put 3.8 litres in engine as per manual for Oil and Filter change He said level was up to top line on viewer but he had oil leaking from area where Stator lead comes out of Housing after a 10mile run. He drained off 1 litre of oil and went for a run and says it is still leaking from same area not as bad. Would the Alternator area be over filled from earlier and will it level off.Would sealing the cable coming out of housing be enough.

If its anything like an 08, theres not much oil in there as a rule, I replaced the left hand case last year with just a thin layer of liquid gasket and made sure the rubber grommet was in the correct way and not had a problem. I would look to see if the grommet is the right way and a nice snug fit.

Thanks Tom My Son is out with Girlfriend I asked him to look at Grommet and to try sealing around it. My Son now informs me that the oil only comes out from Grommet when bike on Side stand. He is going to remove stator housing on Tues when he is home. Any thing he should be looking at.

make sure he puts that litre of oil back in first!!!!.

souns likr the rubber seal around the cable is either knackered or not fitted properly.just seal it up with some gaskets sealant and dit should be ok.

PUT THAT LITRE OF OIL BACK IN!!!!!!!
