Now all Honda now need to do is supply every new blade with trick Ohlins as standard and give them 25bhp more and keep them under £14k, then people wouldn't need to move to BMW and we might sea few more blades (in fact any blades now that Samsung Honda have gone) in BSB
Much as I like my Blade I've been up against a few well ridden S1K's and no way will a Blade out drag a Beemer! Your at least 20 bhp down, so the guy ridding the Beemer must not have been using all the beans available.
Possibly Jay but caught him on all the straights but I was use the upper rev range and he may of just been in wrong gear, who knows but it felt good ;-) PS There was a 10 plate blade there, standard exhaust on with track/race fairing and had no problem powering past him, just don't know.
The fact the 'Duel' happened in the Inters is also a factor. The same 'Race' in the 'Fast Group' would be a diff story I feel. Watched Jenny Tinmouth today at the Brands Hatch BSB round on her fully Blinged Blade and despite being Queen of the Track at Oulton on a recent Track Day didn't even make the top 20 at BSB level.
thats true but who won last years BSB, Samsung HONDA lets see how the TT senior goes this year, will be interesting and lets hope Honda pull their finger out and give us another 25bhp
Behind all the ZX10R's which seemingly rule BSB and WSB at the mo which dictated my choice of Track Bike!
Hmm but your track bike isn't the same model currently bossing bsb and wsb is it a great bike all the same.... Really don't get all the yeah but this bike wins this, and that bike wins that.... It's obvious some bikes are better at certain things, blade clearly the roads and track just about at top level if you throw loads of money at it.... But IMHO the kwak and bm are better for us track hackers straight out the crate... My blade is still too good for me, but would I find it a little easier to stick it at the sharp end with a few more ponies - no doubt....
All True! At 'Our Level' it's mostly down to the Riders abilities. Outside of racing you'll regularly see decent riders on old kit sticking it to 'lesser' riders on the Trickest of the Trick! (Avin a decent baseline bike makes me look 'Tricker' than I really am, and I'm the first to admit it!)

Indeed..... Got mugged off by a instructor at cadwell on an r6 last week. Caught me napping big time, and I could barely stick with him after that. All the power in the world wouldn't of given me his corner speed, or compromised for his knowledge of track and braking points.... Or made up for that fact he was probably just a better rider lol But I have seen similar guys my pace at my first meet and at the quicker end of fast who hold me up in corners then blast off on those pesky bm's and kwaks leaving me to think about selling my lovely blade.....
