Quick heads up for the guys and gals leaving Oulton Park tomorrow and Sunday. Saw a mobile speed camera parked in a layby on the A556 heading East towards Manchester in between Cuddington and Hartford. Easy to be caught out because it's positioned just on the other side of the climb after leaving the 40 mph zone in Cuddington so you'll just be opening her up after crawling through the village. Enjoy the meeting and be safe (and ticket free)
Crikey! And another one on the same road West bound towards Chester at the bottom of Kelsall hill. That hill is so steep you could probably break the national speed limit on a push bike - free wheeling!!!
Could anybody tell me roughly how far these cameras are sighted from oulton park please? I'll be taking the advice within and heading for the knickerbrooke entrance, cya all there. Andy B
Keep on the back lanes through Eaton and Little Budworth and you'll be fine! Or U could just obey the speed limit............................................
Oh, and they are dishing out free side stand discs for all Bikes which U get to keep when U leave, nice touch I thought! (Oulton Park that is not the Fedz!)
Sorry Bryan01 but I cant say for sure but I would guess it must have. Doesn't the rear facing camera pick up the speed and photograph the oncoming bike and then the front facing camera records the rear plate as it passes?
Possibly ! I sat behind a car as I came over the top and he was braking. Pretty sure I was in the low 70's ?
Well made it to Oulton Park, went to knickerbrook entrance without seeing a camera, however it is a little early so speed guy not up yet. ;-)
When it comes to photography I'm no Barney or Si but here's a few snaps I took at Oulton Park today. Not perfect but quite pleased with them bearing in mind the limitations of my camera. [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG] [/IMG]
