Is this even possible? With 2 owners... Bike has stone chips too... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=191159657518&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web
Stone Chips can happen in an instant. Mine was free of them up until just under 3K then it got nailed on one 80 mile ride by mates I was riding with.
Definitely possible. The Blackbird I had only had 9k miles on the clock when I bought it. Not bad for a bike of 1997.
10 year old bike..only done 2000 miles and has 2 owners - I would have thought the bike would also be declared off road..not taxed... Maybe a collectors bike..but then it would have said.. This particular one sounds fishy to me..
My blade was 3 years old when I bought it with 280 miles on clock so if original owner had kept for another 6 years to make 9 years old and carried doing same mileage bike would have only done 1260 miles on clock .so is possible
Fair point.. What if the bike had 3 owners? I guess u would also be able to tell from the condition anyway..
Amazing how many guys own bikes and don't actually use them! Or take them down the cafe on a Wednesday to park up and look at them. Oh and mine was peppered and had 3 bullet holes on front nose come 3rd ride out
mines is due its first mot next month. ive had it from new and its still under 800 miles. yes i know damn hopeless but other toys , hobbies and commitments take up time lol
My bike is 2 years old nextweek ( 20th ann HRC Blade) and she only has 350 miles on the clock... I've commitments elsewhere, but it's always possible that a low mileage bike can always be found when it's 5-10 years old with a genuine reason for it.
Depends how you look at it Colin...it's a waste if I was someone who is out everyday on a bike and now isn't... But I'm not that person, I own my bike, I bought it new, I've put lots of nice mods on it and I ride it whilst I can think of it this way "15 year old Honda SP2 with only 1 owner & 750 miles from new" now would you think that's a waste or an excellent find?
Each to there own weather guys ride there blades or not But I feel it's just a waste these bikes were made to be used and abused
Yeh this is possible, my Bimota has just 2200 miles, bought it new in 1999. Now needs its 3rd paint job since then, first re-paint was required after just 24 months.
I bought a 1999 R1 in 2009 with 850 miles on it, the owner used it to go the the occasional meet etc but mainly it was in the garage gathering dust I sold it a year later for the same money I paid with 11k on it
I bought a 09 hrc blade in November last year only had 1600 miles on her with 2 previous owners bike was immaculate with mots from different garages to back milage up and all original sales documents included
