Hi All I dusted off my bike this weekend to find the clutch fluid very cloudy in the resevoir, hence the clutch will not work. I have bled the fluid through and can feel resistance in the lever, but it still stalls each time I select first gear. Is this a common fault? Mt next step is to pull the slave cylinder and re-seal, but thought I should post here first in case I have missed something. All thoughts welcome......
i had this on my zx6 a year or 2 ago it was the switch on the side stand wasent working so it was as if the stand was allways down, took the stand off and gave everything a good clean and it worked fine, not saying thats your problem but worth a go
Am pretty sure the clutch push rod had not disengaged the clutch to make a clean gear selection. Lack of hydraulic pressure IMO..Remove the piston on the slave cylinder, fill cavity with fluid refit piston pushing the fluid gently back into the reservoir and then bled.
Make sure it's definitely bled up right . Did you crack the banjo bolt on the lever ? If not this is your problem hold clutch in crack banjo bolt re tighten pump lever . I bled brakes all the time easily eyes closed the clutch Slavs was a bit of a nightmare .
