I have an Arai Chaser John Hopkins 'Monster' rep at the minute: Great lid albeit a bit noisy, which has made me look into what the quietest helmets on the market are. Currently have an AGV Stealth, but I really want the Arai TT one. Just not worth £750 tho. So I will persevere with what I have for another couple of years. Wife can't see past a Shoei.
I've worn Arai rx-7's for years now, love the quality and can tolerate the noise with decent earplugs. Last month I got the shoei gt air, took it to the nw200 and whilst it's comfy and light enough for me, I don't find the flip down sun visor as easy to use as say on a schuberth, I have to put my whole hand up flat to feel the lever, on the shuey I can find the lever easily with just a thumb. Worst thing though is the air vent on top, I find it acts like an air brake and causes a really loud whistling sound when opened, it throws loads of cool air into the lid but I'm seriously sorely tempted to see if anyone at work wants to buy it off me and go back to my old pedrosa rep until I've saved up for a new arai.
I've had an Arai Chaser (Schwantz Rep) in a large for the last 3-4 years, a darn good lid, only down side is the ventilation over the top, although I do have a big mop of hair which may hinder that having any effect I bought an AGV GP Tech in 2012 (Simoncelli Rep) also in a large, but sadly the fit isn't the greatest, The quality of the finish is brilliant and the whole package was spot on, I'm just gutted it was mail ordered and the fit was slightly too big. I suppose it'll be a mint example to go on my Simmo shrine I've just ordered an M/L sized AGV Corsa (Rossi Wish Rep) so will give my opinions after it gets delivered and after I get a few miles under its belt

Check with the supplier first but with mail order you have a 14 day money back G'tee. I bought a HJC Spies rep only to find that after an hour of wearing around the house it really hurt my temple. I left all the tags on, I did not remove the visor protector and I was able to return it (at my expense), had I fallen for the buying it in a dealer routine (made that mistake once with an AGV) I would've had no come back and would've had to put up and shut up or ebay it. I did ebay it in the end. I would be the first person in the world to stand up for use your local dealer etc but not when it comes to shelling out the big money for helmets. It's mail order all the way for me. Or maybe the local dealer should let you pay for it, take it home and wear it around the house for a couple of days with the option to return it for and exchange. I think that a money back service would be a bit much to ask of a dealer as some folks would then just go buy cheaper on the internet. The internet has changed the world of shopping massively maybe this is one of the areas dealers need to look at seriously.
I have a Pista on order, it's being painted first. I hope I get on with it, it's the first AGV I've had.
