I would like to thank everyone on here that helped me with my questions and gave me advice on getting this bike especially sinewave and m3ntalist cheers guys !!
Cheers buddy . . Yea the Leo v sounds very nice I have to say . I was on the bike 4 hrs yesterday (2 hrs 20 min break on the ferry ) and I was fine when I got home . A lot more comfortable than my 05 600rr .
I was going for a 09 blade but this one came up . . Did you find much of a difference from the 09 to 13 Gsp ?
Very nice Marco... You`re going to have many happy miles on your new Baby.. Enjoy.. You wont belive just how fast it will go..
Cheers ash . . I opened it up a few times and the power the thing has is unreal ! I was never on a ltr bike until yesterday and I was a bit nervous about it but it is very well mannered when you are going slowly and a beast when u open it up . . I haven't stop smiling since
My 13 bike feels a little bit more refined over the 09, but not a huge difference to be honest, and difficult for a mortal like me. Most notable was probably the suspension and road handling. I can only imagine what the SP is like, I'd love one but I couldn't get rid of my current bike, and couldn't afford one with doing so. I preferred the old dash initially but now love the new one, missed the fuel gauge when first moving from the 600 to the 1000. I was nailing my 600rr everywhere and was really working the gearbox, it's more difficult to do that on the big bike (for me at least), so the big bike for me is even more economical as I'm not working it so much.
I jumped from a 600rr to a 1000rr and it just felt right.. I love my bike a lot.. the only thing that will make me change from a Blade is old age and creaky bones.. pain killers are a wonderful thing.. lol
I couldn't believe it had no fuel gauge? I asked the guy I bought it from thinking I had to press something to change the screen but he pointed to the fuel warning light. I think its going to be a long time (if ever) for me to ride the blade the way I did the 600 ! I found the blade a lot more economical than my old bike and it feels lighter is that possible ??
It's feels smaller and lighter but I don't think they actually are... Mass centralisation has come a long way in all those years. The 600 has a massive great heavy can at the highest point of the bike for example.
Couldn't have put it better myself, I was expecting the fireblade to be more difficult to ride but I couldn't have been more wrong, it is actually easier than my old 600, and as said before me, I can't imagine how good the SP must be. I'm glad you ended up with the one you've got PJ, definitely my first choice of the two you linked me too, although the 2nd was pretty cool just not the same VFM. Enjoy it pal. Andy B
I couldn't agree more . . I was never on a ltr bike and was expecting the thing to throw me off every time I opened the throttle . I couldn't have been more wrong . Thanks again for your help and advice Andy top man
Would agree with a lot of what has been said here and I'm glad I made the change..... although my 600 didn't try to wheelie when snapping 4th at 130+...... still it's only as quick as you want it to be
