    Hi all

I've finally picked up my bike it only took 6 weeks........now the fun starts. I want to change my indicators from the awful "flat" ones to standard. I've taken the current ones off but I can't seem to work out how to fit the original back on. I think I'm missing brackets (from various web pages) and rubber "sleeves". After removing the current ones there is just the oval hole which the original indicators fit but the appears to be no fixing points. I've ordered a Haynes manual but can anyone help, have I missed something or am I being incredibly stupid and missing the obvious??

    Thanks in advance

Do they not sit through the holes in the fairing and connect onto a framework inside the fairing

Thanks for the replies and the link. I've looked at the link and the brackets seem to be the same size as the base of the indicator, looking at the diagram I cannot see any bracket that fits behind the fairing, I am thinking that the bracket is in fact larger than it appears and fits onto/behind the fairing. I'm going to order the brackets and rubbers and see what happens. Anymore thoughts would be very welcome

    Cheers

    Hi Pete
Many thanks for the reply. From your link it would appear that I do not have the holes on the inner panel, just the raised pressed outline. So I will need to drill.

    Cheers

From my memory...which is shonky to say the least!
I seem to remember there being a oval type hole and behind that hole was a small metal oval with 1 hole and 1 threaded hole.
one for the wire one for bolt, I reckon you are missing these! (part 8 on the top diagram)
    hope this helps!

Thanks for that. I totally agree I'm missing the rubber seals and the plates, however I don't quite get how the metal plates fix....bonded to the inner fairing perhaps??

    Anyone with an answer?

    Thanks again for the help

    They don't fix!
They go from the inside fairing and the indicators pull them in with the nut on the bolt.
wish I still had mine id go check for you, only took them off once and a while ago and I'm (nearly) certain lol

Yes zipster is correct his memory is better than he gives credit for :) mine is the same, they mount directly to the inner fairing pannels two holes one for the wire one for the indicator.

    An update:

Got all the bits from Dobles, the rubber fairing grommets, and the metal brackets. The inner fairing must have been replaced as it should have had two holes drilled. Once I had the metal brackets it became obvious, use the bracket as a template, drill and hey presto!! Original indicators fitted, much much better, I've also replaced a few items with OEM and replaced missing bits too......the rear reflecter and nut nearly £26.00!!

Looking at replacing the fairings at some point soon

Once again thanks to all for your help, much appreciated.

    Cheers
