Hi all, my 25kw restriction has just passed so I can now legally ride any bike, I'd like to know if I will be allowed to go on Anglesey track day with no limits on Saturday without having my licence with me? It is currently with DVLA being upgraded. I have a pass certificate that I could take along with my passport I'm just not sure if it will be good enough. Thanks in advance for any input. Ps, I have tried to contact No Limits but they're out of office so I left an email. Andy B
It's not an MSV track so No-Limits don't normally need to check your licence They have to at MSVTracks
If they do need to check then ask nicely and they phone through to dvla there and then on your mobile to double check. Yes - I've forgotten mine a few times lol
Yeah, that's the main reason leaving it so late to book, I just wish I'd looked into this licence issue a bit earlier as places are running low. I'm going to phone first thing in the morning just to be sure and book if it's all good. Andy B
Oh don't say that, there were places half hour ago. no I havnt booked, I was waiting on the forecast appearing on my phone today. Andy B
Hi, You definitely don't need a licence for Anglesey ,my son has been with us on a nolimits day when he was still on his provisional and didn't need to show anything,as for availability I would ask to be put on the reserve list if it's full as it's a two day event and there will probably be some of Fridays riders who booked the double dropping out.
My friends son there on a moto 4 bike Saturday look out for him he's 11 gonna be a real talent Storm Stacey
Thanks for the info pal, I'm going to phone at 9am and hopefully something happens that gets me on track Saturday. With what your saying about people booking two days I can see how it's very possible that people back out of the 2nd day for different reasons. Andy B
Fair play he definitely looks the part in that pic. How's he doing in his race series? I'm gunna get schooled by an 11 yr old aren't I. Andy B
you don't half know how to depress a man Wedgie, thought I was advancing nicely ALMOST got me knee down the other day, then you post up a pic of an 11 year old hanging off like a monkey with his knee down and flying along ....grrr...
Only took my plastic licence yesterday to Silverstone with no limits but they did not even ask for it. But this was the only time they have not asked
Thanks for the replies guys, I checked with no limits today and you were all right in saying that I do not require a licence to do a track day at Anglesey. Apparently this may not be the case with other track day organisers though so keep that in mind if you're using someone else. Thanks again. Andy B
No I didn't unfortunately, but I am first to be called if there's a cancelation. I plan on getting to the track for about 07.30 and see if there's any chance I can get on, fingers crossed. Andy B
