I love my shoes and always wanted a nice watch as an investment and fashion accessory. Saying that my favourite watch was a 200quid Adidas diving watch. I've been eyeing up my dad's 30yr old Omega watch the thing is built to last forever!! I totally get people buying them as an investment as rarely do they lose money when you grab a good one
I get your point but I really do try to avoid doing that. Ted Bundy was quite dapper, apparently. Hitler was pretty well turned out
I Love watches but all these watches you've all been talking about are the cheap stuff!! I do allot of work with watch customizers & when you start taring a Panrai or Patek Philipee watch apart to have it engraved or PVD coated you are talking mega bucks. For example a Rolex Daytona which would cost 4-5k new sold as sotheby's for 60k. Have a go at this and watch the price go up! BAMFORD WATCH DEPARTMENT Discover Pro-Hunter: Home Personally I dont think you can beat classic watches like Navy said his dads 30yr old Omega is still going strong and it's so much more classy that a chavvy new Rolox! If you want a nice new watch get yourself to London and Burlington Arcade. There are loads of second hand watch dealers and you can pic some beautiful 1970's rolex omega Heur and much much more beats any new stuff. Ozz
or if you want something more rugged that that get one of these. I did https://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/UX.htm Worn mine for year and not a scratch on it due to the very hard metal and the glass is Sapphire crystal glass for the edit the case will last "12,000m diving depth" 36,000ft !!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't managed 20
Know what you mean, I think watches are becoming a thing of the past. Overtaken by phones Im going for an I-watch next if I ever do a watch again
I've got a Tag Heuer that the wife bought me for my 30th. i like a nice watch and also have a Raymond Veil that I was given on my 18th and a Suunto Ambit-2 for my daily wear/sports watch. I have a G-shock somewhere thats over 10 years old and was the watch I wore when I was turning spanners. My wife has a Tissot that she wears daily. Watches aren't going out of fashion it's just you like them or you don't in the same way some guys don't get why you'd spend £20000 on a Ducati when you can get the same grins for a 1/5 of the price.
I like my watches like my bikes. Good, reliable Japanese engineering. Yup - I'm a Seiko man. I have a few - this was the last one I got: Can't really justify spending thousands on a watch when a Seiko looks good and keeps accurate time
I love watches, feel naked without one, but can't justify spending big bucks on one. Bought a new watch about a year ago after my 13 year old seiko packed up, not bad seeing as it only cost me about £100. I like "lazy" watches so went for a Citizen Radio Controlled Perpetual Calendar in titanium. It takes the time from the atomic clock signal, and even copes automatically with months with less than 31 days. It's also solar powered so I don't forget to wind it. So far so good, and for less than £400.
Ive a Tag heur......and im not joking when I say its one of the best watches Ive ever owned........2 batterys in 18 yrs........a tenner from china !
Have never seen the point in expensive watches, they tell the time like any other watch. That said,i did spend 13k on a nice digital clock with accessories last year
