Nice comment from guy Martin on the grid start to the senior on Manx radio. He was remembering what the allies went through 70 years to the day today when they stormed the beeches of Normandy on d day. He said it would be a travesty if the Germans win today ha
indeed it is,problem with that though is theres a quite a few honda riders on here that cant take it and get all upset and bring the forum into meltdown.sooner they realise the bmw is a better bike the easier it will be for them .
Haha, ok I see Think I'll wait til the end of the Senior before I trade up If it gets a new LR I may be sold I did say "maybe"!
What do you guys reckon if it were McG on the BMW, do you think we would be having as much er 'banter', or do you think because MD is riding the bike and winning that's the, should I say issue being such a likeable chap?
haha, you know it's only in jest, for the most of us,it makes no difference, both bikes are far better than out ability.(that goes for most 600's aswell!!!)
Hmm tough call - 1.) McPint 2.) MD 3.) Bruce Pasty I would like to see Guy Martin on the top step but thinking realistically it's going to come down to either those three above with GM a close 4th I reckon.
Great race. Though Michael and Guy a little perturbed about people flying past yellow flags when they slowed down. Do folk really go all 'football supporter' with manufacturers of winners etc ? Not like any of us are going to be able to ride those bikes on the road the way these guys do
I think Guy thinks he would have had a good shot at the next position up if Conner has slowed the same amount he did; Michael was concerned for his brother as well as having his time to Conner cut into so he had to push some more to increase the time gap to him.
This thread gone very quiet LOL, if mcpint had won it then I think we would be on page 25 by now. Well done to MD and sounds like some grief between guy and MD over connor speeding on passed the yellow flags of WD's crash. The press conference said everything without mentioning a word of it lol. As for the BMW vs Honda... well the 2013 BMW bike is a cracker and I know first hand as my racing mate has one and its a corker of a bike. Everything on it is bling'er and its a rocket ship. My Honda is an awesome bike but its an old dog compared to his GP looking bike. Hopefully Honda will bring out a corker now to keep up to date, the whole bike is pretty much 6 year old...! I say this full well knowing my bike has every conceivable modification done to it
Oh for whats its worth, same fella that owns the BMW said it was a rubbish road bike, too hard and basically a race bike with headlights. Preferred his GSXR.. so there you have it. Honda for the road all day long but for racing it seems the BMW is on it.
I have a bmw souleh , its a rocketship Way way too fast for my two up riding but I'd never change it , But saying that the fireblade I had was too fast for me also
Ive dropped to an R6 for track/racing. I just think I'll be able to push it harder than I would a thou
You soon forget about all that once the flag drops and youre off. Ive flipped my blade a few times but wouldnt say being on a 600 would have saved me ;-)
Wow what a great TT this year and the Seniors was awesome. I would love to be able to ride like they do, but I think I like living too much. Glad there was no major injuries. Great race, fastest bike and best rider won. I think MD is a legend in the making. Superb riding and well done to BMW.
And fair play to BA too, he did pull over to give the BM a chance but by mistake he still whooped its arse....lol
