Crashed but lucky to walk away with a small hand injury . Word of warning don't try and overtake on the outside going down paddock hill twice . It worked the first lap passed 3 riders think it was tried the 2nd time with Jimbo in my sights boooooom low side. not sure why I did it as for me it was a very aggressive move and not one I had been doing on the test day .. But as the saying goes feck it might as well win it or bin it think I am spending to much time with Jimbo . Did a 52 on test day which I was told was good and was feeling really good on the bmw . Will post some pics as it was a spectacular one and my shiny new bike doesn't look so shiny anymore but give me a week or two and it will. And please no unlucky posts as believe me I feel very very lucky as it's a very fast section as you turn in on turn 1 and could of been sooooo much worse for me. Bikes can be fixed bodies take a lot longer Also massive well done to Jimbo that boy is bloody quick and well suited to racing me not so sure with my luck this year with breakdowns and now crashes but will crack on to the end of the season .
Like you say Jase, its just an unlucky patch your going through mate, all will come good soon I'm sure of it.. Hats off in the first place for racing, it takes a good set of balls to even consider it . Imo your going to have a solid finish to the season and then they need to look out for you next year cus your winning everything....... Respect....
Shit happens Jase you will fix and bike will you'll be back fighting hard on the beemer next time as you say you were trying and went down in a fast bloody section .
You took it like a man buddy. Huge respect! And 52 on your first day at brands is epic mate, really is.... I think your right, all this racing, testing and trackday time together is having an effect on me too. I've already unpacked the van and started organising my stuff for the next one Chin up mate, it's only nuts and bolts, and lets face it, 4/8 bikes in our garage went down (ok you trumped them in the wheelie bin fill up competition) this weekend so just the luck of the draw, main thing is your ok.... Seasons can be upturned in a moment. Look at olly.... Plenty more to go this year and build on for next! And anyone to not only pass round outside on paddock once, but then try it again, is suited for racing! You crazy fool lol
Was a shame to see you come off but great having you back in the garage smiling, with like you say a very minor injury considering. There were some very very good riders that binned it over the weekend, including one leading the championship on the same corner. Gutted for you about the bike, but as said it only nuts and bolts. Thanks for staying for the rest of the weekend, wouldn't have been the same without you there dude.
all part of the learning curve to get faster mate, sometimes you take one step back to go 2 forward..... just get back on the beemer as quick as and show it who's the boss!!! chin up and throttle open dude!!!!
Bad luck Dude! Is there mucho damage? If it's still rideable get down to Oulton next Wednesday with me & Scoobs and give it a reet good thrashin' now it's Battle Scared!
It's a good job you're minted - shame that the pristine Bimmer isn't so pristine as that was a sweet bike (just didn't want to spent too much time staring at it at Silverstone with Barney around ) Oh, and please tell me those brake levers are ok....
Full fairing and paint job needed dropped back at Alan @Rr Racepaint today just over a week since I picked it up get back weekend then need to do a few other bits .will come down as need to give Scooby his wets back but won't be riding .
The bmw will look pristine again how long it stays like that I have no idea . Luckily for me the brake lever that broke is the right side and I hadn't got round to fitting the brembo Mc thank feck so that's getting fitted when I get bike back so will still have one bling lever
