Is there a way to temporarily remove the rear view mirrors for track days on a 2013?

Yes but you have to remove the nose to get to the indicator wire connectors and then you will need some block off plates to replace the mirrors, was easier on the 08-11 as you could access the connector for the indicators much more easily ...

Thanks for info. Seems a bit of a pain.. is the nose easy to take off? I normally have to ride to the track and hopefully back! so not got a whole lot of tools in the bag. I did think maybe I could just put a nice little in line connector and save having to take the fairing apart.
Do you think there room to do this?

You can get them off without taking the nose cone off..

Remove the screen and you can see the connectors, just undo them and jobs a good un.

They have hidden them more on the 12 on bike Si, when I took them off my 10 it was a five min job undo the 4 10mm nuts undo connector in the black cover and done !

Its a pita to drop nose on 12 on, lower and side fairings off, then mirrors, undo the two screws holding the airtubes to the nose then pull out of locators as a unit to expose the connectors for the indicators ..... I will have a look later for you and see if you can leave the connectors close enough out to disconnect when you require ... It may just be my bike that they were well tucked in ;)

As Jamie said they are well tucked in, but you DON'T have to remove the screen or nose to remove the mirrors, undo the 2 nuts that hold on the mirror, but don't fully remove yet.

Now the hard part, shine a torch in and you will see a black protective sleeve, open this up and it reveals both wires/connectors, disonnect them, then fully remove the fixing nuts and tug the mirror out. Job done, takes around 15 mins per side as its quite fiddly to fish it the connectors.

There is a vid on YouTube dong this... I'll see if I can find it, I've done this job myself and it's no probs at all.

    P.s mines is a 12 bike aswell :)
