I have been having a look around for some reasonably priced chain adjusters and came across these for a reasonable price. I can't seem to find much about them or any reviews. Has anyone ever come across them before? Any thoughts?
IMO...... Avoid all chinese chain adjusters. A fella I was in spain with had them and the bolt up the middle sheered off and the whole adjuster collapsed and his chain came off. Lucky the bike didnt spit him off! His chain was too a little tight imo but the bolt was made of cheese and didnt stand a chance. Named brand only stuff on a safety basis
Martin, I put the link for the cbr600 there by mistake but they actually do the exact same (looking) ones for the 1000rr at the same price. They aren't Chinese either, produced and sold by an engineering company in the USA made up of bike enthusiasts, apparently!
Ahh! Good spot, my eagerness for bling made me overlook that! The cheeky buggers also have an American flag in their logo. Guess I'll keep my eye open for a reasonably priced set of Gillies...
They sure look bling! Pre-accident. Click the photo for a larger version. They look identical don't they? After a trip in the kitty litter - lucky boy! His whole back end locked up briefly but the chain didnt snag or snap.
I wish they were decent cause theyre pretty cool lol. Id hate to be lying on the ground though for skimping a few quid!
Yeah, you have - clearly - a very good point. At the end of the day I'd rather be running stock with no issues than something that could kill me for the sake of aesthetics!
i think they have been mentioned before........ you do have to pay at time for certain bling......and around my wheels I want to be reassured its not going to fail....

Hi every body,I`m Mal and new to this site. Just to add to the Mad Moto chain adjuster link,my son races a Fireblade in Street stock series with North Gloucester Race Club and we bought these adjusters for a quicker wheel change, looks the part etc.In his Race Saturday 21/06/14 the black adjuster sheared off on the start line as he powered off . He was left stranded on the grid because the wheel had twisted,no support to hold it,and the chain jumped off. He was on pole position for the race so everyone was behind and tried to miss him.Two bikes did not and there was a bit of carnage. Luckily no serious injuries. I have e mailed Mad Moto direct and sent photos of the sheared threaded adjuster. There is not a lot of metal at the end of the thread where it goes into the black adjuster knob to deal with the forces applied to it. I ride a road bike and after seeing what is left after machining the threaded shaft I would never use them on a road bike either. Please spread the word to any one who wants to buy these ,they are not safe in their present format and I have told Mad Moto the same
