Sorry if its a stupid question but in relation to the bike where have people fitted their ground anchor. Its obviously going to be on the floor on the stand side which is where my wall is. The question is it best near the back wheel area or close to middle of the bike? I plan to fit Almax chain round the frame swing arm rear wheel. Thanks in advance
I slot my almax through the hole in the right side of the swingarm. As a result my ground anchor sits behind my rear tyre, slightly to the right of the bike.
Same here ground anchor sits just to the right of the rear wheel, pretty close to the garage wall and chain goes through swingarm and wheel
My ground anchor is by the back wheel, same side as the side stand. I reverse into the garage and the bike is parked next to the wall, leaning towards it. Ground anchor therefore tucked away. Its a 2m Almax so in some ways doesn't really matter where it is, but the chain is so big that only one of the links fits through, so the padlock ends up being very close to the anchor
I drilled one into a brick in the front of my old house, being a tight arse I decided it was coming with me when I moved but it pulled the brick out with it!
Check your Chain fitment before fitting your Ground Anchor! My Almax Chain is too big to fit through anything on the Bike bar the Wheels! Therefore mines located at the front wheel area as this one takes more time to remove than the back one thus slowing the Thieves down if they decide to Rob ya Bike and leave a wheel behind!
