Looked at removing my pillion pegs on my new RR4 last night but the right side one is also the hanger for the exhaust heat shield. I still want to run the heat shield and looking at some old threads see there was an aftermarket bracket available, but I can't find one for sale through ebay or search.

    Any ideas ?

    Cheers

I've got one of the eBay ones on my RR4. Looks like they aren't for sale anymore. Only thing I can think is to make your own.

I cut a spare peg down, sprayed black and it looks like I was always that way

Yeah looks like they aren't available anymore.

@martinowen - that's a very neat job, nice work. I think that's the best route to go down.

I did the same, went home made, but I found the bracket thing that some bloke was selling on eBay and used a picture as a template, then spent an evening dremmelling a piece of thick black plastic into the same shape, works a treat.

I cut down a very small piece of dexion and put 2 kinks in it. then removed the outer heat shield (carbon shield above) and attached it to the inner heat shield bolt and then put the outer heat shield back on with a small nut behind
Very neat and tidy as you don't see it

I have one fitted to my bike. I can remove it and take a pic if you want to try making your own?

Cheers for all the replies and @johnd for your offer, but a kind member has pm'd me with a bracket for sale so I'm all good.

I'll take a pic and post it when it arrives in case it helps others.

I just remove the hanger, drilled a small hole in the shield, cut a thread into it and put the bolt back through with a washer.

It is holding well, heat not causing any issue and looks a lot neater.
