2000 miles in and the blade is awesome (2014 abs) Makes my last bike (750 gixer) seem like a badly painted tractor. One minor niggle is the sun reflecting of the instrument panel. First time it happened I almost binned it. Approaching a corner in the highlands at an appropriate speed I glanced at the clocks only to be dazzled By the reflected glare. A quick test of the abs system and a fifty pence Line round the bend later it was all fine. Happened a couple more since and it's bloody irritating. Now being Scottish I'm allergic to sun at the best of times so if anyone has any suggestions On how to eliminate this I would be eternally grateful. Thanks all
Never had that problem myself... but I ride with a heavily-tinted visor most of the time. Wonder if some anti-glare film would work... something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anti-Glare-Matte-Screen-Protectors-Cover/dp/B00C67G0VS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405428760&sr=8-1&keywords=anti+glare+screen+film
aye your not wrong there Carl but we live in hope, I'll try the anti glare thing thanks GappySmeg, bloody annoying though.
Compared with the 08-11 models, the issue hardly arises, but the only suggestion is not look at the clocks when you are in direct sun approaching a corner I guess, hate to state the obvious, but its a simple fix.
Recently back from doing 2300 miles in the Scottish Sun on 2012 Blade and didn't have a problem As above though, I wear a dark tinted visor.
Get a matt finish tablet screen protector and cut to size, but sun in Scotland! That must be a freak occurrence did you get a photo as proof?
or you could try LambChops ingenious method of censoring his speed on Youtube vids... ...Black Duck Tape! lol
