Hi,anyone else had issues with fitting an R&G tail tidy? They come with 2 brackets for spacing the indicators, one wider than the other. Surely they should both have the same dimensions around the holes for fitting to the other part of the bracket?

Got it fitted to bike ok with wider bracket but want to use smaller one as got a smaller licence plate.

The narrow one fitted on mine.
It looks wrong on yours, but its odd. I presume they are laser cut, so its difficult to make them wrong.

It's not so much the cutting of the bracket it's where it bends near the fixing holes,as the smaller one bends closer to the holes it fouls the other part when you try and bolt them together.

It must be an optical illusion, but the hole centres on the right bracket look closer together than the one on the left.
I'm pretty sure they will be bent on a CNC press brake, so again, difficult to get wrong.
Post a pick of them side on.

    Hi RRoss,

We came across this forum post and wanted to respond as we want our products to be the best they can be.

We checked with some of our dealers and distributors who have sold the most of this product, but they had reported no issues.

But as a precaution we checked the stock of our brackets here in the UK and found a handful of examples that are bent in correctly. The bracket should still fit, but there would be a gap that shouldn’t be there.

We are more than happy to send you a replacement part if you provide us with a shipping address.

    Thanks,

    Luke

Hi Luke, thanks for getting in touch. Have emailed Greg Hawes the invoice from demon tweeks that has my contact details,if you need another one just pm me.
Did give it a try with smaller bracket but screws are quite short and worried about stripping threads on other part mounted to bike.
    I do like R&G products,my Blade will soon be a rolling advert:cool:
It's good customer service like this that let's me know I've made the right choice.
    Many thanks
    Ross

As opposed to the lack of replies to questions sent via the website?
