I want to change the rear indicators to some smaller one's are all replacement ones going to flash fast ? I don't want to start buying 'extra bits' to get the flash rate correct.
I fitted one of the Motodynamic integrated rear lights this afternoon. Works straight out of the box, and looks the business.
Depends on if you get led or bulb type indicators, led's tend to flash quicker and need a relay or resistors to slow the flash rate down
I've just bought some R & G mini indicators bulb type and they are flashing faster than standard I didn't think there would be an issue with the bulb type that was why I bought them. Does anyone have any idea's?
The problem with faster flash rates is because of low power usage and not necessarily the bulb type. If the bulbs you have are a low wattage you will either need in-line resistors or a new relay, personally I would go for the relay on 06/07 models as it is located behind the left fairing and is easy to get to.
The standard bulbs are 21W the R&G bulbs say 12V0.5W H21W If i'm going to need a different relay do you have any idea what type and where would I buy it from?
Just got my new flasher relay as recommended by Barstewardsquad and it works a treat so cheers for that. I do wish that the suppliers of after market gear would make it clear if extra things are required to make there product work, don't mind paying for it just want to fit the gear and ride the bike.
