Ugly maybe but a very quick mile muncher! A mate had one its more of the dad to the blackbird than the blade
I would imagine, in the day, when in the future we were expected to wear silver suits and eat food pills, it was considered de riguer...
Was tempted to buy one back in the day 1987 i think, bought a new VFR750 instead after seeing Rocket Ron racing one. Still have the VFR in the garage and it is equally as "beautiful" as the CBR1000. I was told that the CBR was good for towing a caravan though
I never understand comments like these, back in the day these were good bikes maybe honda boring reliability but they were rocket-ships of the day that lay the path the what is now. A lot of new kit I think is butt ugly IMO tastes change it is what it is. Butt ugly or iconic?
Yes, heed those words everyone. Be thankful of the shit you had to look at before, otherwise you wouldn't have such great looking bikes now Sorry PDS, I couldn't resist posting what you really meant
Oh dear I offend people again lol , I'll rephrase the comments .what was modern when some of us were very young , now looks so bad I can't imagine how it was ever a great looking thing in its day. Dunno if that makes any sense but hey ho !
It's like looking back and saying the Sony Walkman was heavy, drained batteries and had less features than a MP3 player. It was good at the time but things move on. Found the Wife's old N95 8Gb the other day, top phone in its day but felt horrible to use now.
We had shit like that about , but 5 yrs earlier we had this stuff knocking about which IMO don't look outta place even today . Anybody disagree ?
The first pic is 'orrible, IMO I don't even think it was liked too much back in its day. But, as we all know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". A pic of your VFR would be nice, Dave
