Was wondering the same, lot of money to part with Dunno if it has international guarantee & U.K. Mains charger etc ?
Use Google to translate the pages, or click the Union Jack at the top of the page It says they do international orders and have a 10 day return policy. Can't see anything about the power supply but I'm sure that Maplins would have something is there is a problem. As Italy is in the EU you should be OK from a warranty perspective. I know others have bought bling from Italy so they may know more about that.
very cool but pricey.. I did see a how to build your own somewhere... cant think where mind but looks like a house brick lol
Here you go Lammy old chap Gopro camera http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/19515.htm#post296455 Love the bike build vids ont YouTube btw
here are pictures and movies from my homebrew gyrocam https://facebook.com/MotorradGyroCam The 'Unit':
I do not sell them - I was only part of the developer-team and have build a couple of prototypes - a racing-parts-trader founded the earlier 'try and error' and will now sell a couple of this units I don't know what he ask for it - you may ask him at [email protected] should be no problem to ship them to the UK ... the only problem I see is the LiPO-Balancer - I guess it should have a different Power-Plug in UK as in Germany ?!? but you can also use 12V Power from the Motorcycles Battarie.
uuh ... ^^ that was the 2013-model with servo-motor - the 2014-model is much smaller and works much better ;-) Model 2012 Model 2013 Model 2014
we (two people) needed 2.500€ and a lot of time (5 month) to get to this state - we started with cheaper components at first but have had to replace nearly everything at least once to make it more robust.
Hi mosci! Can we build one by DIY? if yes, do we need some particular skills in programing or something else or anybody can do it? thx! You said that on the video posted by BlackDevil, it is the 2013 version (Derek L.?) But there are many angular error! On Derek's videos there are not as many! Is this because the pilot changes much faster angle as on the video derek? An other question: on "the unit" video, where are pcb and all electrical devices?! Between bruhless motor and the camera? It must be really tiny!
I have done it by myself - so I guess anyone alse can do it too - It's just a question of knowledge. 'Special skills' are not needed - except of some electronical basics (and you will need at least a crimp-tool / or you have to solder) but I wont publish my project - at least not this year but I'ts not a big deal - the gyrocam based on the brushless-gimbal wich is used from the multicopter-scene ok, the cheap gimbals from china (~50€) will not last long on a racetrack, and the 2208-motors will not be strong enough to hold a GoPro with Protectioncase so you have to replace the motor with a better one - but I have managed this - so you will be able too .... but even then, you will cross other problems - thats what it makes so expensive (many try'n'error) yes, if you do a smooth ride - it works much better than if your'e on a racetrack and fighting hard. and it's always a question of 'how good and often the unit get's calibrated and configured) - but dereks software tries to manage the whole process without using the acc-sensor - this version tries to use only the gyro-sensor (with the incredible gyro-drift-filter from derek - that was a nice peace of code! - and worked quite well - most of the time) for this version you need much more electronical/programming/configuration skills yes, there it is - yes it's as tiny as possible at the moment ;-)
You necessarily programed or changed an existing program to get your result. If you haven't knowledge in programing like me, i think it's quite difficult ! So you think you can't have a gyrocam working as well during a smoothie ride that a racetrack and vice versa? I realize now that I have bought all the necessary components to build one... Woooo respect!
