Hi. Its the MGP Growler from Hotbodies. I wanted a fairly cheap slip on until I could afford something else.
It's done the job but will soon be time to go. I'm going to miss it, what a noise.

Just finished putting bike back together, having fitted a PCV, o2 eliminator, and map switch.
Then put 2 maps on (baffle in, baffle out) and calibrated the throttle position. Started it up, and all ran perfectly, including switching maps via my home-bodged rocker switch.

So...... came inside to get togged up for a test ride, and it starts chucking it down! It's been gloriously sunny all morning whilst I've been in the garage... bollox!!!

Finally managed to remove a large blob of tar off of my rear tyre, that I picked up in Spain during tour.

What an utter pain in the ass that was !

Finally got out for a test ride... and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The uncertainty below 5k has gone, and the low-down torque is back! (Always suspected that, having removed the OE exhaust and thence exhaust valve, the sub-5k fuelling had been f*&Ked).
All the way through the revs feels smoother and keener. Not overly sure there's any more outright power, but that wasn't the aim of the exercise... this was operation "restore smoothness"!
Taking slow speed roundabouts is so much easier now that I can be confident in the power delivery at lower RPMs.

Stopped halfway to remove baffle, flick my map switch, and try "baffle-out mode" (which was silly, as removing a roasting hot baffle was always going to result in singed fingers!)
I had tried running without the baffle prior to fitting the PCV, and although the noise was highly agreeable, the uncertainty in the fuelling was not. Now though, its SMOOOOOOOTH as you like all the way, with a very satisfying subtle pop and burble on the overrun.... and holy crap its loud!

Probably the best £150 (and 5 hours in the garage) I've ever spent on a bike :D

At last I got round to finish cleaning the bike and fitting the SP subframe[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Was planning on getting it coloured the same as the original, but kinda like the silver now it's on.

Adjusted the gear select lever down 1/2". Replaced the selector recently when I did my fairing, and despite measuring to its centre it was too high. First noticed the problem when I went for 2nd gear and got a bag of nails, but fixed it with a more "positive" flick of the foot. Can only guess that the bent rod I also replaced had reduced the amount of travel the selector needed to engage the next gear.
