It does shift from 1st to 2nd really depends when you shift if going a bit it's fine. Seems fine under 5k but true enjoyment is when your ringing it's neck
Tank off top air box and bottom air box I tool tank off as well to give me more room as said it's really just like changing the spark plugs
Must admit I was looking recently at purchasing a second hand Plus and it's just been brought to my attention about the lite version. I had a QS on my Daytona and although the sensitivity could be changed I didn't bother as it felt great. Listening to this, I think the lite is the one for me. I'm not after faster lap times, just a smile on my face and a hassle free cheapish solution. The lite sounds perfect for what I want to I think I will be taking the plunge soon. As someone who has never actually changed the plugs on a bike, how easy is this? I did fit the last one to my Daytona (Cordona) and it was easy enough. Despite poor illustrations. This blade seems a lot harder to get access to stuff though.
You can change on all of them 1st to 2nd but your not supposed to, the only one that is made too is the GP
The first to second shift need a larger kill time due to netrual being in the middle so the only shifter it's safe to do it on is the gp as you can set kill times for each gear on that one... I think you could damage you box over time if you do 1 / 2 shifts regularly on any but the gp.
Ozzer just do a search on the forum there are a number of really good threads done by members on fitting a hm quick shifter there all the same fitting
Fitted mine over the weekend, so much better than my dynojet one, real nice smooth shift I would recommend
Nope gp only, it's all to do with having a different length kill time for each gear, which is only possible on the gp. All others are changeable but only 1 setting for all gears
Can i ask..... i have a PC V on my CB1000R, Does the HM fit into their version of this or can the HM fit onto a Dynoject PC V ?
CB1000R has traditional coils, you need the HM PC, sensitivity and shift direction is set on the HM PC the kill time and rpm when to limit kill is set in the PCV. Also CB1000R only has 4 injectors hence why it works ok, 8 injectors not possible with just a PCV. (on most bikes)
anyone have a link or a photo of the article of the Fast Bikes September issue regarding HM Quickshifters?
