anyone owned one or ridden one??. got an offer of a good deal on one and hoping to get a test ride later this week to see how she feels. just sold an older v2 tuono which i loved and thinking of parting with the blade for one. i,ve ridden a 1050 triple recently which could be in the mix too.

people I know who have had one do rate them, but find the fuel use in terms of cost and range a pain - think its about twice the cost / half the range of a blade, all depends on your riding distances etc. if that would be an issue of course

To be fair the old Tuono which I also had did the same with regard to fuel. The smiles per mile rate was excellent though :)

As said in previous thread Bruce just bought one...

Don't think the mpg is quite that bad al, it's not great but he's getting about 115 before light comes on and about 15 miles once light on. But it does have a 1 ltr bigger tank so mpg isn't amazing.... And he is running it in

But who cares! Looks awesome and goes like stink apparently.... 165bhp on a naked!

Sounds alright with this can on it too by all accounts :)

He's getting it serviced and coming with me to collect the speed on Sunday so will give you a little head to head run down ha

Ah, I was told 85 - 90 miles to a tank if you are having a spirited ride but not sure if that was to light or full tank.

Mt-09 another option to consider and a bargain at 7k brand new with a different engine.

Was out with Brucie yesterday, I thought it was an awesome bike in terms of looks and sound.

He was riding it under "running in" conditions and don't recall anyone passing us on what was a busy Sunday for biking.

I'd buy one, unless used as a commuter or planning a round the world trip.:;)

There's a guy that races in the same class as Jimbo and Jase on one with the RSV tail, looks awesome.

I'd like a Tuono myself but the poor fuel economy puts me off. Having said that I've got a Speed Triple and normally get the fuel light on between 100 to 110 miles.. The Blade is much more economical.

Have you considered the new BMW S1000R? - I had one on demo a while back - brilliant fun.

thanks guys, my old 03 tuono would certainly gulp down the fuel but as F1reblade said worth it in terms of smiles per mile. the only way i could afford one though is to swap the blade in and not sure i,m ready for that. i gotta try one and see if not might get a late gen 2 tuono that way i could keep both.

I have the 2014 V4 what a bike and even better on track, the fuel tank on the 14 is bigger and on a recent euro trip I was getting the same to a tank of fuel as 2 bmw s1000rr. Love the bike one of the best I have owned in 30 years.

Ask any questions and I will try and answer them.

well i managed to get a test ride on a v4 yesterday. very nice but wasnt blown away by it and found it very lumpy and snatchy below 4k almost like a twin. i,m miles away on price at moment but the journey wasnt wasted as ended up buying this from the same dealer......
