Ken, is it a prerequisite that permission to build will only be granted if you own two blue Mazda MX5's??
I've moved this thread to Lounge as I thought it might be interesting to continue the progress of the garage build. F1reblade, building regs are quite clear on the point, I'm afraid. Really annoying as I only had one when the plans were drawn up. Once I got the second one I was even more gutted to find that they had to remain outside and I had to then buy a fiesta and a 5 series BMW to keep inside the thing when it was finished... Gutted! Anyway, having spent a week now living in a re-enactment of the battle of the Somme. The day has come for the pouring of the footings concrete. And, such as happens, after two months of no rain whatsoever...
Believe it or not, I demanded the self same question from the architect. The reason is 'because I don't have any motorbike clipart on my computer. Think yourself lucky you got an MX5'. ABV did a quick edit for me but that didn't get past the approval committee...
20 years of this though has turned me into the king of life sized Tetris. The Blade and the car fit in there too.
Think your Builder has fecked up mate, those footings look curved to me! Oh, and don't let him use Thermalite Blocks, they're shyte for fixing anything too!
I just can't afford a rectilinear linear lens mate. Plus I think they're for arseholes... See what I did there...
Ash mate, you are such a proper bloke I get confused when I admire your leather wrapped arse. And I was never confused!
Yes Mike. They match the ones of the house. All four corners up now. We've just been discussing whether it's going to be wide enough, given J's reversing technique...
I hit the like button, not that I liked kens post particularly, its more that I like Ash's leather clad backside.
Visited the Blade in his holiday home tonight. Here he is, Bill. On the right. Next to him is my brother in law's little Yamaha, and there, on the far wall is Jimbo's next bike...
Today should see the completion of this side of the build and, hopefully the far side pillar for the door opening. Only downside yesterday was the muppet driving the brick lorry seemed to have lost the use of his mirrors and reversed halfway up my neighbour's path. Still, he didn't break all the slabs. I think there were two unbroken ones...
I can start visualising the size it's going to end up now. The roof'll make it a bit more obtrusive but I reckon it'll blend in quickly.
