oh and FYI if buying online check your dealer/seller as Cardio do not warrantee any units sold by non authorised resellers or auction sites like eBay. Cheers.

I just got a G9x from the US and the box was plastered with "no warranty outside of US" all over it

Tbh the whole Cardo thing SUCKS when your talk returns if your not careful! If you read the small print in the manual it says, no guarantee if purchased from any auction sites (regardless of bidding), no guarantee if purchased from an unauthorized dealer and so on!!

SOOOO those who want to buy any of Cardo's communication systems check your supplier/dealer as I will bet you an authorized one is few and far between, this IMO is a BIG CON as they are happy to sell them in bulk to sellers who they KNOW will be reselling them to the public and then very quickly wash their hands of them if you have a problem, they will quickly tell you to return your device to your AUTHORIZED re-seller and they will have the problem of returning it to the US for repair, well we all know they will say "oh sorry Sir you will have to wait blar blar blar!" in other words it seems to me that Cardo know there is a good chance the dealer was not approved and they then skip free of any guarantee claims! CON!

So Cardo, if you ask me you make it, you fix it, regardless of where its from, if the owner has a purchase date and receipt whats the problem? NONE! I for one would have something to say about it thats for sure.

My advice would be check your seller, if you cant get a good deal and worry about this CRAZY RMA policy then buy another brand, simple!

And yeah mine are legit :)

I get this a lot with other brands too since I order a lot of gear from the US mainly. The Bazzaz system I bought had US only all over the box.

If I want warranty I need to send it back to my cousin in the US who will act on my behalf. Still better than paying twice, if not more, than the price here.

I should not let it rattle my cage but MAN it winds me up...lol. It's a product THEY make THEY sell and THEY should support etc, it's POOR business IMO when they wash hands of a product in that way, I will bet those who own them have no idea and I know for a FACT that Cardo have upset a good few in this way, what Cardo need to understand is they are not the only people making comms kits for bikes etc and fair do they may sell them for now but once word gets round that this is how they do business good luck next time round guys..!

The G series comms kits are great but at the price you want to know your money is well spent in regards to after sales etc.

Agree, however you do have rights, sad thing is its the manufacture that gets away with it in this case. Its the dealers that need to say NO (after all its them that gets stung by the very company that supplies them the goods, i.e upset customer, RMA fee's etc), then they will have to re think their crappy policy. Second hand yeah ok, but new...

Mind you its especially nice when you do find a manufacturer who does bend over backwards to sort problems out

Totally agree but it's better than it used to be here with more and more online shopping. There are a few major retailers campaigning the government to reduce the $1000 duty free limit because it's hurting them so bad.

Of course it's the retailers that like to rip everyone off and anyone that buys overseas is "unAustralian". Well I say give them the big middle finger and I'll buy locally when it's not double the price. In summary, they can kiss my arse!

I've spent over $2500 AUS in the last 7 weeks on my blade and 90% of that has gone overseas. Why is it I can get the same exact jacket delivered from the US to my door for $200 cheaper than here?!?!?! The only drawback can be the warranty issue.

By the way, we might need to change your name to Arthurmad :)
