Bought my 14 plate middle of June and has 3.5K on it and it's been garaged for the last 3 weeks whilst abroad, so its getting crunched as usual, all commuting miles.
Interesting you put 40 miles. I have found that I don't get much enjoyment going out for short rides Any longer. takes more time to get the bike out and geared up then do 40 miles lol I went out after work on Sunday to get some miles on the blade and still did about 80 miles and this is normally just a hour and a half run. Most of my runs and very often in Wales are between 150 and 200 miles. But i don't do this enough.
Had my blade for 2 months now and only have 170km on it, due to torrential daily rain storms (we are right in the middle of the monsoons season here in Thailand) Spend my weekends watching the skies and waiting...
This is my first Fireblade. A 2009 HRC Picked it up on 9th April this year. It had 3421 miles on her. Had her nearly 6 months and now she's at 4688 miles
This is my second Fireblade, I bought it (2009 HRC model) in... January '13, with 1,100miles on it. I did two long Alpine trips, and several weekends in France. It has 9,000 miles now, so I'm doing an average 4,000 per year.
Bought my blade in August 2013, within 3 weeks, 2000 mile ride to Sth France, since then Germany/Switzerland. Total mileage since owning 7000 miles. Next year Spain. Am I glad I sold the R1, too f***ing wright I am.
I bought mine back end of August 2013, it had only done 2500 miles Although it's only got around 4800 miles on now, this year feels like I've never been off it especially since I let a mate have a go and the next day he went out and bought a yellow 2009 blade he liked it that much. We tend to do short blasts somewhere between 80 - 130 mile round trips
Got mine in Jan/Feb 2012 with 12,806. Just checked and it now has 15,613 on it, so a mere 2,807 miles in the 2.5 years I have had her.
I've had my RR5 Blade 7 years now, it has 17k on the clock, but still looks and rides like new. Had 4k when I brought it so that 13k of mine at just under 2k per year - hmmm thought I was riding it more than that. Been wondering lately whether to changer her for a newer model, but this one is just so damned good ........
I bought my RR5 this year with 6k on the clock. Now 7k. It's a weekend toy. It's been a weekend toy all its life.
Bought my 2012 blade June last year with 1800miles on the clock, now has 6300 miles done,3000 since 1st March this year.
2008 blade had it since November ( for the second time) and i am on 37000 miles i do about 2000 a month all year round!!
Still you can sell it for better money than I can get for mine But I would rather have 05 bike with 7k miles than 11 bike with 25k miles.
I only ride the damned thing twice a year when I go to France and Spain. It's probably done less than a thousand miles in England.
