But thats a nice machine u have They had a hrc one in the shop but was out my price range I notice u have the gilles gear shift suport is it good, how much was it mate Maybe looking to change the screen to a double bubble one Black or slightly tinted, U got any pics of ur machine Kev
Hi Kev The Gilles Shift Support seems to be a forum favourite! https://calsport.co.uk/honda-cbr-1000-rr-fireblade-0607-2007/gilles-controls/gilles-gear-shift-supports/ I've found it makes the shift more positive, and I've had less false neutrals. A few pics of my bike in my forum album: http://1000rr.co.uk/members/gappysmeg-albums323.htm From memory, my screen is a Zero Gravity double bubble... I've had most makes over the years and would say buy MRA, Zero Gravity, or F.Fabbri and you won't be disappointed... avoid Powerbronze, as I felt their screen was very poor quality and poorly finished. You got any other mods planned? I would thoroughly recommend replacing the standard brake lines with some braided lines... I went for HEL, and found they made the braking more positive.
Kev.. get in touch pal. I know all about that bike and its been in a big smash. I pal of mine put that bike back to Shirlaws after he discovered things wrong with it and they gave him another bike.. Give me a PM..
pm gilesy and get some facts. I could be wrong but a dealership cannot sell a bike as straight & kosha if they know it's not. If thats whats happened then you won't be out of pocket. Good luck man.
Bike is totaly mint feels and rides great not a mark on it Im gonna fo down to see craig tommorow Really appreciate this guys true gents
Thanks mate really appreciate all ur help Ill keep u and everyone posted on wat happens Ur a good bunch on this forum I keep saying it sorry but say it again appreciate this so much Kev Aberdeen
A dealer can sell an insurance write off and not disclose the fact. I was amazed to discover this after a car I bought was a Cat D. This was despite stickers everywhere in the dealership that say all vehicles are HPI checked too. At the time of purchase I actually asked if there was any bad history with the car and was told "no". Since this was in front of a witness, my partner, I went to trading standards and lodged a complaint. They weren't that helpful but the dealer agreed to a refund. After a bit of research I found that this car was taken in part exchange by a reputable dealer and because of the Cat D status they sent it to auction rather than sell it on themselves. The car dealer I bought it from then bought it at auction knowing the Cat D status as declared by the auctioneer. Bastard!
That is shocking mate really is just to make money some People will sell there own mother Just got a feeling i gonna get stuck with the bike Shocking wat goes on mate.if it wasnt for puting pics of the bike on the forum and gilesy seeing it id have been none the wiser,so graitful to gilesy and his friend paul Thanks guys.
