Hi there. Picked up a very nice 11 plate repsol blade last week and mighty pleased so far. Looks a great source of information on this forum and already picked up bits and pieces here and there. My last bike was a street triple R which was a fantastic cornering machine - probably the best I've ridden. Before that had a 5jj R1, Mille, zx9 and other 600s. Quick question, how the be-jeez does one keep these orange wheels erm.... Orange? Are they a mega pain to keep clean?
Hi n welcome dude great looking bikes the Repsols http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/21391.htm I used Pledge/Mr sheen just be careful
Hi fellow Repsol welcome the the forum. Keeping the wheels clean is not a problem just don't use anything too abrasive, WD 40 and mr sheen. The end result is worth it
Welcome I have always used WD40 be careful when polishing my last Blade had gold wheels and I managed to polish through to the undercoat.
Welcome, WD and wax after. Keep on top of them and it's no bother. Dry lube the chain really helps. Mike.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome Dudes. I'm from ivybridge 5 miles outside of plymouth. Are u a repsol brother?
Got a repsol honda taller screen in order. Those tabs are a bit of a penis to get past but I've noticed the previous owner has already snapped one. I've done a trial run to take the screen out. Hopefully the installation of new screen will be as smooth as putting original back in. Any tips or should I be good if I've already had the practice?
Thanks dude. I'm polishing more than riding at the mo as the weather is gash. I love autoglym stuff. Should have shares really.
Welcome to the nuthouse matey. I used to use wd40 or t85 to take away any greasy stuff then polish them up (i used mer or autoglym)
Welcome mate...enjoy the banter, which we have already started on the footie subject, as Graham Taylor said "Do I not like Orange", perhaps he was talking about wheel cleaning after all.
