Blade for sale, registered Oct 2012 anniversary model. 3410 miles. Immaculate condition. Brand new rear tyre fitted 500 ago. Heated grips. Pyramid carbon fender extender. Hell braided hoses (fitted by dealer) Think I will cry if this bike goes. The bike is near Hull, East Yorkshire. £8000.00 PM if interested Will consider a cb1000r or Triumph speed triple in part exchange.
Just got back from the dealers after having a brand new rear tyre fitted. It is the self same bike that Dave D has kindly put a link to a photo of it on the previous post.
Well folks my mind has been made up and the Blade is going to be replaced with the cb1000r. New rear tyre fitted last week. the bike is immaculate with 3000 on the clock. £8500 ovno would consider taking a CB1000r in part ex.
I've done the same mate, iv traded in my 2012 HRC blade for a new speed triple. (For different reasons to you.....house move!) both the cbr1000r and speed triple should be good fun. good luck with the sale
Just think it will be gd fun being a triple. something totally different. always fancied 1. plus your getting a load of accessories with it just now. on the other side that cbr1000r will shift
I'm going through the same thoughts as you I've tried both cb1000r and speed triple a very hard choice The honda was perfect got on with it straight away loads of fun The triple I think has a little more But I still can't bear to part with the blade at present Only time will tell
I was exactly the same. very reluctant to let the blade go. I had to do it thought and I've got to say im still gutted it's gone but looking forward to the new one. You can always go back in the future
I wouldn't be too keen on losing the full fairing. In a moment of madness I tried a V$ Tuono a while ago. I took it back saying "thanks, but no thanks" far too windy.
I know what you mean but nowadays I'm finding myself staying of the main roads away from the boys in blue and find the blade hard work on some of the narrower roads, loosing the fairing shouldn't be to much of a loss to me as you can't carry the speed you can on main roads without decapitating a few sheep lol.
I had a Matt Grey 13 CB1000R and loved it apart from my daily motorway run of 50 miles, never had a single issue in 6500 miles, Akrapovic decat and Akrapovic can really make the bike come alive, if you do go down that route let me know as I still have the PCV custom map for that setup. Suspension was good once set up. Cant say much more than once you get it you will love it.
Assumed this had gone - just traded my Speed Triple in for a 2014 Blade! Sods law! Its here now TRIUMPH SPEED for sale in Leeds, West Yorkshire
Sorry mate - I wouldn't part with my Speed... its taken two go's at trading in Blades for a Speed ( I tried a Cb1000R - just didn't do it for me) but now I get the naked bike thing and I'm smitten - I did order a BMW S1000R Sport but cancelled as I couldn't part with the Speed! Love em or loath em - more fun under a ton...and its ok up to 130ish for overtakes but the wind blast does slow you down! enjoy whatever you choose, as already said you can always go back to a blade to scratch that itch
I have been looking at naked bikes lately as I fancy a second bike. I have a short list of Street Triple R, Speed Triple, Kawasaki Z1000 and CB1000R but have to say I really fancy the triumphs.
Well in an earlier post I said that I was thinking of a cb1000r or a speed triple ,well a month ago I sold my blade and brought a Matt black speed triple Mr H I'm with you,I now get the naked thing I love it ,it's slowed me down and I am having loads of fun under a ton ,it's comfy ,I can ride it all day without any issues
