no, I did not programm anything by myself this time - I just configured it - the software and the firmware is not from me! - unfortunately the soft-/firmware I used is not opensource.
but there is a opensource-version available also - this one has to be changed a little bit.
I only choose the components, put them together, configured the firmware with the corrosponding software and designed some plastic arround it all.
(and I did all of it more than one time )
the plastic is printed at shapeways.com ... I started from scratch, without any cad-software experience - the cad-software I used was freecad.
its all quite simple but works

    no ... i don't think so - it's more a question of the 'riding-style'
you can spend a lot of time (and many testrides) to (re)calibrate the modell 2012/2013 to make it work better and better on both tracks ...
but normaly (on usual roads) you are slower and more smooth on the way - which make it easier for the software to regulate in time.
on racetracks your'e more pushing to the limits - you, the motorcycle and also the gyrocam
I think - a gyrocam (at least 2012/2013) will work better on a slower track than on fast tracks. ;)
even the motogp-gyrocam does not regulate with a 100% succecss rate

yes, alexmos & brugi - brugi is open-source ... alexmos (simpleBGC) ist not ...
but you can use the firmware on your own (or any other compatible) controller if you ask at basecamelectronics and pay a little license-fee for each unit.
you did not get any support or anyting else - but i guess the firmware and the corrosponding GUI worth it.
the 32-bit version ist even better, with some nice new features
    ;)

    okay! cool!

I think i gonna wait that you post the "how to do" on your facebook page (i hope there will be an English version :) ).
I am currently building Derek's gyrocam.
I'm a draftsman so I have access to several 3D software (Solidworks, Pro engineer, Catia...) and i also have a 3D printer. If you want some help to design a frame for your gyrocam, ask me ;)

Hi mosci! if your gimbal controller is placed between the brushless motor and the camera, how do you do to not pinch the power cord when gyrocam is leaning? thx :)
