Hi all I'm thinking of changing my levers to ASV. Wondering what peoples opinions are on short vs long? Many thanks for any opinions
I've had the short and find them a bit too short ... I use three fingers on clutch so it's a squeeze ... Two finger braking is fine. However, longer levers give better control.
I had Asv levers before changing to brembo rcs, I had short brake and long clutch, you can order in any combination
Short for me. I changed from long ones on the track bike too as I tend to leave my two outside fingers on the bars and I would trap them behind long levers, so I'm happy with short.
I only use long. This means you have far more control & feel over the brakes and can give it a big fistful to stop faster. In my opinion, short levers are for looks, not practicality - how many WSB & Moto GP riders do you see with short levers (none).
As above, long levers for me. Rode a 929 with shorties and it was a nightmare. Personal pref I guess.
I've had shorty Pazzo's, shorty PP tuning and last summer changed to. ASV's- short brake and long clutch. The longer clutch feels so much lighter and easier to use, principals of leverage I guess.
I have short Pazzo's and love them, however, I have to cut the Alpine Star gloves where the end two fingers are attached?
Same here ,but I had a long clutch and short brake, but my ocd kicked in just looked odd, so I've just fitted a pair of standard length black with red adjusters to my Repsol they look and feel bang on
Chinese Bling! Spent a wad of cash on fork upgrades to only find out that the top adjusters (preload and rebound) were essentially unchanged so bought some 'preload adjusters' for effect. Don't be fooled, unless you are the hulk you will not be able to adjust the preload using them 'red things' alone
I had short ASV levers on my 600RR-07 and I found the clutch difficult in traffic stopping and starting but that was cable not hydraulic
