Tear light with indicators built in ???

    Anybody fitted one of these ? Do they work without resistors if you remove the original indicators if so which is the best to get thanks in advance for any help mines a 2009

    I've got one on my 06 600rr, think I changed flasher relay but I had led fronts as well

    Have one of these back lights but also have standard rear indicators, the guy at the MOT station said the rear light indicators alone would be a fail.

    I got one for my 2009 blade and had to change the resistor to stop them flashing to fast.

    If you get a motodynamic one everything is already done inside the unit so no need for resistors and as for the MOT I've had one of rthese lights on my previous 2 bikes and passed MOT no probs.

    Technically it should fail a MOT and could also attract attention from Mr plod as it was not Homligated with this set up. There is a set distance from brake lamp to indicator and the brake lamp can not double up as an indicator ( a bit like the yanks do ) , however , I too have a combined lamp also with additional indicators and have had no issues from plod or VOSA . I suppose it really depends on the MOT guy whether he ignores the lamp,race can,smallish plate,headlamp covers, HID system, rear seat with no pegs etc.
