Evening friends... Im in need of some nice tank protectors for my fresh paint work and to add a little grip ! I like the look of Stompgrip's but the ones I've seen have got Stompgrip stamped all over them, which is not what i want... What do you reckon is a nice pad ? Clear or black ? Tell me your thoughts... Its to go on my 2006 beastie ! Cheers B (G)

I've got stomp grips which work well and I think the logo is quite discreet. If it was me I would go for the black ones, as you have black bodywork anyway and should you get any air bubbles underneath when applying them you won't see them unlike the clear version. Only downside with stomp grip is that over a period of time they can be quite abrasive to the stitching on the inside of the knee.
I have clear stompgrips on my Repsol and I had Black on my previous Black RR5, There very good however you do tend to get a dusty line visible on the clear ones? It is also noteworthy that stomps do mark your leathers but I still wouldn't be without them.
I have them on mine because i use it on track alot, although when you go from "stompgrips" to a bare tank, even on the road, you do feel less "fixed" to the bike on hard braking and cornering
They help you secure your knees into the tank when cornering and braking etc. plus they stop your leathers marking the tank.
Stompgrips were getting the majority, but i have gone for the snake skin Techspec's ! Thank you for your input guys !!
