Where have you mounted your GI gear indicator?

Just got one, wondering what's the best place.

Thanks geezers, I should have mentioned that I have a 07RR with a different dash to these, however I never considered mounting it 'sideways on' as in the pics' so that's given me an option I never thought of.

Thanks, that's an option. Seems everyone has chosen to mount from the side which never entered my head to be honest.

Are they stable mounted 'side on'? Can't help thinking it would eventually come loose after a while unless mounted with 'back' to the dash.

Extra strong double side sticky foam pad (sort of thing they use for attaching rear view mirrors to car windscreens). Mine is mounted same position as most others.

What colour would you guys suggest? I've read that the red is the most readable in all conditions...

Plug and play. Dead easy to fit. You need padock stands so that you run the bike and change gears.

I fitted mine at the weekend forgot to take a picture, sorry. I chose YELLOW, stands out nicely.

Easy to fit, took me about 2 hours but this was really taking my time and routing the cable very very neatly cause I'm like that. You can do it in 30 mins or faster. It plugs straight into a connector which is capped off and unused, (well it was on my 07 anyway, next to the fuse box).

Easy to 'programme' the unit, just a minute or two, used a paddock stand as 'Great Guy' says. You can do it without one but it's way easier with one.
