Didn't know how far to go with things like cleaning up bolts and giving the callipers a spring clean as I've always done shit like that but if it helps one person then it's worth it. Cheers
When your done with sorting your bike out fella mines sat here waiting if u have nothing else to do lol
What's the crack with them bazzaz things? I thought they was only really for usa bikes, red some where no point for full power euro bike?
Thats the Bazzaz bomb, they also do various upgrade options from fueling module like the Dynojet units but their top unit has a fueling module with built in traction control and quickshifter. It's good value as the Dynojet power commander only tunes 4 injectors not the full 8 unless you buy the extra expansion module and their quickshifter also needs a further module and they don't even do a TC unit.
Yeah and if you get the ZAFM thingy it will auto map the bike when you are running it! So I'm led to believe anyway.
Well a few little bits have been added since the last visit, so all I am waiting for now is to purchase a set of Translucent red braided brakes lines and a Bazzaz to tune the fueling. I fitted 8 x wheel decals purchased from fleebay, I know these are like marmite but I like them so there! Next up was a refurbished set of carbon heel plates which were scratched to bollix when I go them so they had a quick plat down with 800 w&d paper then a few coats of lacquer. I have only fitted the one so far as the offside footrest assembly has to come off to fit them so they can wait. I got my carbon hugger from Geoffro this morning along with my Yoshi exhaust trim so they're now fitted and look sweet. That pretty much rounds it off for now. I need to get it out now to see if the suspension settings from Dave Moss make a difference. They're all dialled in awaiting my test ride.
Check the discount section, some ones doing hoses at really good price http://1000rr.co.uk/index.php?threads/hel-brake-lines-offer.15593/page-2#post-348650
Cheers Jay. I bought my last lot for the Gixer from Mike when I was on the Gixerboyz website. Already had a quote from him. Just been spending too much. They'll have to wait a little while. I may have an RCS18/19 to purchase yet!
Not at all mate. Biggest problem would have been releasing the rusty exhaust clamp on the original until I put a socket on it and it snapped in half! The exhaust just twists down and off! Remember to remove the plastic cover off the under tray under the seat unit which hides the exhaust servo. Turn the ignition off, mark the servo where it sits in it's un energised state then twist it to make free slack to drop the servo cable out then twist the wheel back to where you marked it or you'll end up with an FI error light on the dash.
Well..........my mate works in an engineering shop and he is going to make a few sets so he is using mine to get the dimensions from. Once I know the outcome I'll stick an ad on here for him. Mine will be going on next week sometime. I'll leave you be the guinea pig! I want pics and a running commentary!
Just sorted the lines out with Mike. Last time they got here the next morning so we'll see. Only fly in the ointment is tomorrow is Saturday, so maybe Monday.
