Hi everyone got the blade mot'd an taxed today feels great to be back on it

    few issues though

firstly clutch in or neutral sounds like a normal 4 cylinder revs up sounds throats

let the clutch out slightly and crawl and riding theres a whining

at 4k it sounds almost like a wheel bearing / supercharger / 675 without the whistle that sort of whine they do,

noticed a tingling through seat + vibes at 6k up

also when you shut the throttle its little bit abrupt and there is a clicking noise from under tank ( gonna check thottle play in the morning)

idle is hunting up about 200 down 200

    finally

on the front sprocket should they have end float or are they solidly fixed so no sideways movment? doenst twist or go up and down but can pull it towards you and push back towards the engine slightly?

    Cheers everyone,

    Tom

New chain fitted to mine by the dealer but not lubed. Mine was whining a little yesterday when out but purchased lube yesterday and done it this morning and just when rotating the wheel on the stand it now sounds better.

Maybe a silly question, but how do you check this alignment? Or is this just done with the chain adjusters on the back wheel, and that they need to be adjusted equally?

yes mate! its done with the adjusters like you say, also there was a thread or two about differant methods on here which might be useful?
the chain could also be tight? which could make that sort of sound

Presumably if it was the chain alignment it would continue to whine even off-power or when you pull the clutch in?

Will have a search for the chain alignment methods though. Thanks.
