    Very nice. Looks brand new.

A bit different to ride than the blade though!

    Looks imaculate.

I loved my Ducati 1098R & Desmosedici RR, however the reliability and cost issues got the better on me!!!

£36,000 for a new engine for the Desmosedici RR was the final straw!!!

The bike is 2002, one of the very last made. It looks literally cleaner than new, not one mark or chip on it. I removed every part except the engine and replaced loads of bolts and fitted lots of carbon and other bling parts. The bike was 'treated' to a full engine check, belts, shims, fluids etc so is perfect. It has only done 6500 miles from new !!

Lowest I have seen one of these and it was tatty was over £4000, a decent one will bring £6000, I would like to think this would bring £7000 from a collector.

If I had bought a Desmosedici and the motor blew up I would be suing Ducati. I have had 7 Ducatis and had no problems with any of them, they are not like the Blade though, you can jump on a Honda and feel at home straight away, a Ducati you either love them or hate them. Once you get the hang of how to ride them they are brilliant, if you ride them like a Japanese bike you would hate it !

No, I really should have taken some with a work in progress but I just got on with cleaning and replacing bits as I went along.

    Looks lovely that.

I hated my Ducati, it was always an aim to own one at some point and I was left cold after buying one.

I bought a new Hypermotard 1100S 7 months ago, spent a fortune making it look amazing, then hated every minute of riding it to the point I didn't even want to open the garage door I hated it that much.

Sold it for a massive loss and bought my blade.

Bought a hypermoto and hated. 400 miles from new and part exes it for a repsol blade

Bit puzzled why you hated the Ducati.

I've ridden most and appart from the reliability they look superb and are lovely to ride.

Saying that the Veetwin takes some time to get used to after a Jap inline 4!!!

Ducati did pay for the £36k replacement engine.

Loads of Desmosedici engines rebuilt and also replaced during the past 2 years!!!

Fore sure they look cool as hell.

I just grew to hate the riding style of the hypermotard. I love hanging off with my knee scrapping everywhere and you just can't do that properlly on the hyper with it being a sit up MotoX style bikem it loved the leg out style which just isn't me.

I also couldn't get used to the Vtwin after years on Revvy IL4's. It was also pretty slow, and I don't know if I got a friday afternoon bike or not, but the build wuality was shocking, I only did a few hundred miles on it and all the carbon was de-laquering, the clutch was playing up, the frame was covered in stone chips and I could carry on all day lol.

Have you sold your D16 now? They are beautiful a client of mine has one with 21 miles on it then another one that is not ridden on the road that has managed 2k just on the track, I do wonder how well they will hold their value once the warranties start ending though.
